Tenzing and tashi has always a dream to have a wedding where it will be attended only by families. Their first idea was how amazing will it be if we could do a family vacation together while we have a simple ceremony during that time too. After a short discussion they found out that both families really love that idea and they decided to go to Bali.
Tucked away on Bali’s dramatic west coast, Villa Vedas played host to an intimate and deeply meaningful wedding—a union of spirit, nature, and love. With only 16 close family members in attendance, this celebration was designed with intention, allowing space for presence, connection, and heartfelt rituals for both Tenzing and Tashi.
Before the ceremony began, the villa was calm bathed in golden afternoon light and a soft ocean breeze that whispered through the open-air corridors. In separate wings of Villa Vedas, the bride and groom prepared for their sacred union, surrounded by quiet energy and the loving presence of their closest family. Inside her suite, the bride radiated grace and calm. She wore a stunning Tibetan-inspired wedding ensemble, carefully tailored with flowing silk layers. Her hair was styled in soft waves, gently pulled back to frame her glowing face, adorned with subtle makeup that enhanced her natural beauty.
Around her neck, a traditional Tibetan necklace made of coral and turquoise beads rested gracefully each stone carrying its own energy and meaning. As she stood before the mirror, adjusting her ceremonial belt and shawl, there was a quiet strength in her eyes. She was more than a bride—she was a symbol of grace, tradition, and new beginnings.
In another room, the groom stood tall and grounded, donning his Tibetan-style attire with care. His robe, known as a chuba, was deep ivory with earthy accents. The structured layers added a regal elegance, while a woven sash tied around his waist symbolized unity and intention. As he adjusted his collar and slipped on handcrafted leather shoes, he took a quiet moment of reflection, gazing out at the ocean—centered, grateful, and ready.
The atmosphere was reverent yet joyful—soft Tibetan chants played in the background, incense drifted gently in the air, and the sound of familial laughter echoed through the villa. These preparation moments were intimate and profound especially the moment where their parents help them to get ready during the preparation time—full of stillness, anticipation, and the unspoken beauty of two people honoring tradition while stepping into a modern love story. The couple looked nothing short of magnificent—not only in their attire, but in the authenticity they carried. Their wedding in Bali attire didn’t just reflect a cultural style—it reflected their soul.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by the soft scent of fresh white, touch of peach and green florals, gracefully lining the open-air walkway that led to the oceanfront altar. The bench which decorated with a palm hand fan and the architecture of Villa Vedas—modern and minimalist—created a striking contrast against the lush gardens and glistening sea, offering the perfect canvas for a wedding infused with Tibetan philosophy and peaceful energy.
The ceremonial space was serene and soulful. A custom flower arch with Tibetan flag stood at the edge of the property, with the waves as its rhythmic backdrop. Adorning the arch were white garbera, daisy, mini daisy, white chrysanthemum, accented delicately with peach roses and just the lightest kiss of peach-toned garden blooms—a palette chosen to symbolize clarity, renewal, and compassion.
The couple began the ceremony with a Tibetan blessing ritual, surrounded by singing bowls, incense, and symbolic offerings. Family members were invited to participate—lighting candles, offering prayers, and tying blessing cords—creating a shared spiritual moment that lingered in the hearts of all who witnessed it.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to an elegant long table set beneath the swaying palm trees. Soft linen runners, handmade ceramic plates, and blush-toned taper candles brought warmth and softness to the tablescape, a nice and cozy lounge set and completed with a coconut cart and Balinese umbrella, while floral arrangements echoed the ceremony’s colors—organic, textural, and effortlessly beautiful.
As the golden sun dipped into the horizon, the sky painted shades of amber and lavender across the ocean. Laughter and clinking glasses filled the air, while the bride and groom took a moment to take a photo tour in the sand nearby, and a soft music serenaded the evening.
Dinner was served family-style—locally inspired dishes with a modern twist, lovingly prepared and shared among the guests. There were no loud distractions, no crowded dance floors just meaningful conversation, heartfelt toasts, and a deep sense of peace.
The night ended under a blanket of stars with a small fire ceremony—symbolizing the couple’s new beginning. Surrounded by love, simplicity, and nature’s beauty, this villa wedding venue was not just a celebration—it was a sacred, unforgettable experience.
